Freewell ND32/Black Mist 1/4" Filter for VND with True Lock
The Freewell ND32 / Black Mist 1/4 is a hybrid Real Locking filter that combines 5 degrees of light reduction with a soft blur effect. This makes it suitable for both bright light and creative shots where you want smooth motion and atmospheric effects. It's all in one filter—no need to attach two separate elements.
Cinematic effect and work flexibility
The filter gently diffuses light, creating a subtle glow around bright spots, ideal for portraits, landscapes, and videos. It can be used alone or in conjunction with the VND/CPL system, allowing for attenuation of up to 10 degrees or more while maintaining polarization control. This type of set is particularly suitable for long exposures, dynamic shots, or for working in bright sunlight.
Stable assembly and protection from damage
The filter is mounted using the Real Locking snap-on system: simply press the side tabs and attach the filter to the base ring or other system component. Attachment is quick and reliable. A shock-absorbing case is also included to protect the filter from dust, scratches, and damage during transport.
