The Shelly 3EM-63W Gen3 is a compact 1/3-channel energy meter designed to monitor three-phase systems or three independent single-phase circuits. The Shelly 3EM-63W Gen3 is the ideal solution for everyone: whether you're monitoring home energy consumption, assigning consumption to specific business departments, or supervising energy production from photovoltaic panels. The device supports both three-phase systems and three independent single-phase lines, making it suitable for almost any configuration. Furthermore, thanks to 4-quadrant measurement, the meter records both energy consumed and energy fed into the grid, a useful feature, for example, in photovoltaic and hybrid systems.
Intuitive operation, complete integration
The module connects to the network via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, without the need for an external gateway. It can be managed via the Shelly Smart Control app, the web interface, or via MQTT, HTTP, and WebSocket protocols. All incoming connections are protected by TLS encryption. Data can be exported in CSV or JSON format.
Seamless monitoring and analysis
The Shelly 3EM-63W Gen3 measures voltage, current, active and apparent power, power factor, and energy, with Class B accuracy (IEC 62053-21). A built-in clock maintains accurate timestamps even if the internet connection is lost. Measurement data is recorded locally at 1-minute intervals and stored for at least 7 days, allowing access to consumption history even if there is a temporary cloud connection loss.
Automation and security
The Shelly 3EM-63W Gen3 allows you to create up to 20 schedules and configure up to 20 webhooks, with up to 5 URLs each. Additionally, local automation allows you to, for example, react to instantaneous energy consumption and trigger specific actions, while a built-in “no-load threshold” prevents energy metering at very low power consumption (less than 30 VA per channel).
Ready to harness the sun's energy
The Shelly 3EM-63W Gen3 is also ideal for monitoring photovoltaic systems. It enables simultaneous monitoring of energy production and consumption, allowing equipment operation to be precisely adjusted to the temporary availability of energy from the panels. This facilitates reducing grid consumption and optimizing self-consumption, for example, by operating energy-intensive devices during peak solar irradiation hours.
Clear information and full control
The device features LEDs that indicate its current status (including Wi-Fi connectivity and OTA updates) and a single button to quickly access setup mode or restore factory settings. It also has a built-in temperature sensor. Finally, it's very easy to install.
Shelly Smart Control App
The meter works with the Shelly Smart Control app, which allows you to manage the device remotely, view energy consumption, and create schedules and automations. The app also allows you to monitor data, view measurement history, and track energy costs.
