The SwitchBot motion sensor lets you create a welcoming atmosphere as soon as you enter your home. If you place it near the entrance, it will automatically turn on lights, humidifiers, fans, air conditioners, or other smart devices. If you place it under the bed, in the hallway, near the bathroom entrance, or in the kitchen, it will automatically turn on the lights when you get out of bed at night to go to the kitchen or bathroom. This increases your sense of security and comfort in the dark.

Security concerns

By using the SwitchBot motion sensor in combination with the SwitchBot Hub Mini and SwitchBot Indoor Cam, you can create a surveillance and monitoring system for your home. We recommend placing the sensor at the entrance or any place where a break-in attempt could occur. Meanwhile, the SwitchBot Indoor Cam, mounted on the ceiling or a high point, monitors the target area. When the sensor detects motion, the SwitchBot Indoor Cam automatically activates and begins recording.

You can create local automations using the SwitchBot Bot and SwitchBot Curtain. The SwitchBot motion sensor features an advanced PIR sensor to detect human motion up to 30 feet away and a light sensor to determine whether human activity is occurring day or night. Its operating range is 110° horizontally and 55° vertically, ensuring precise operation and adapting to lighting conditions. Worried about false alarms? You can adjust the motion sensitivity to avoid this problem!

Practical notifications

When the SwitchBot motion sensor detects motion or changes in brightness, you'll receive appropriate notifications. This allows you to conveniently monitor what's happening in your home—all you need is a smartphone with the app installed. Additionally, all events detected by the device will be recorded and synced to your phone. Note: The SwitchBot Hub Mini is required for setup.

Seamless integration with voice assistants

Thanks to integration with voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant, controlling your home is even easier! You can control devices with your voice and create customized scenarios based on your needs. You'll also receive notifications from Alexa if motion is detected, so you won't be noticed by unwanted guests, even while you're sleeping. Note: SwitchBot Hub Mini is required for operation.
